What can dti (deep trance identification) be used for?

I was wondering what deep trance identification is used for...is it simply a way to "pretend" that you are somebody else. Is this usefull for modeling someones skills, abilities...

and how would I perform dti?... I've been making my own binaural hypnosis cd's...is there any particular technique that I can use...or scripts ideas for dti?
