NLPers,

A loved one is told of the passing away of a close relative.
An NLPer refrains from the natural response of a consoling
hug at time of initial resulting upset. Reason: to avoid
a possible anchoring of grief to the hug.

Was the NLPer, in this hypothetical, acting appropriately?

No but they were acting out of love, and we all make mistakes...
Speaking of hugs, a lady has been decorating our Hall each year for our St Patricks Day dance, and today I met here and thanked her for all her efforts. Her face lit up like a candle and she gave me a big hug. It seems that nobody over the years had ever said "thank you", and I find that sad, because I know that her efforts are apreciated by others, and commented on favourably.

Hug somebody today, there may not be a tomorrow.....

Never pass up a hug or waste an erection!!!!!!

Took Terry's advice on board and cross contextualized it. ;)

It's been said in NLP training such hugs can cause anchors.
It's almost never a problem 'cause you already have a positive stacked anchor for hugs.
The positive usually overrides the negative.
