I have a total PARANOIA around people and can NEVER be myself. I am making up unreal moments, creating an unreal personality.. creating a person depending on FEAR. I simply can't rip myself apart from it. I WANT MYSELF BACK. I have so much bottled up inside I can't excess this all out because this out SH*T keeps coming in the way! And it's not fu*king real!! My therapist wants to put me on medicines, but I SO WISH THERE WERE ANOTHER OPTION, just as effective. Can any of you help me with this? Is there a way to hypnotise myself to LEAVE the fear and be 100% myself? If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up social phobia or excessive shyness, it all fits the description pretty well even though I find this quite different. I need to feel safe around others and I need to be myself. Any hypnotises that WORKS that can do this for me? Effectively? Can this (www.innergear.com?), make me this difference? Can anything.. at all?

In reply to your overall question, the answer is YES, but it isn't so simple as you ask. Practitioners don't charge what they charge because the are con artists, they charge because of the enormous amount it knowledge and skill required of us to effect change in a client. You will need this skill to be successful in what you want, and should consult an experienced pratitioner for help, not think you can do it for yourself. If the later were possible, I have no doubt your mind would have found a way already to overcome the discomfort..

As you ask it however, it is no different from asking if we have some magic pill we can recommend to you to take for instant results... Your problem is too difficult to leave to a novice, you need an experienced practitioner, hence my reply....

Okay, so I typed that in wrong. What I meant was:

Is there a way I can get hypnotised FROM a hypnotist on this matter?

Your fear of being around other people implies to me that you might have problems building up a level of trust necessary to be hypnotized by a poorly-trained hypnotist. If you find someone who has worked with a problem such as yours (How would you know? Call and ask!), he or she will know the techniques which will allow you to achieve a deep state of hypnosis.

Being hypnotized, however, is only part of the story. It's what happens after you are hypnotized--the "therapy" part of "hypnotherapy"--that is the really important part. Certification by a major organization doesn't guarantee that a person is ideal to work with you, but a person certified by the NGH or ABH and who has experience with conditions such as yours should be able to provide help.

And here is the key I'd like you to understand: We are not a forum intended to do any form of counseling or hypnotherapy. However, your original post clearly was a call for help. I want you to know that if you find a good hypnotherapist in your area your life can positively change, perhaps more quickly than you can even hope. If you are going to a psychotherapist or counselor of some type now, have them recommend a hypnotherapist for you. If not, seek one out.

Imagine, for a moment, how wonderful it will be when you feel and can act the way you want to feel and act. That can happen soon. Really.

Yes I am imaginating it right now. Actually I am seeing a hypnotist this Saturday and Sunday! So I did what you said. I don't think my problem is big at all, I think it's more a matter of changing that "switch", if you know what I mean? Hopefully the hypnotist WILL know what I mean. Because my problems are not so black and white anymore. I can actually READ the colors to them. I just can't live it out for some reason.

By the way, it's amazing how you know EXACTLY what I mean with "not being able to be myself". Your last comment described exactly what it is I want. Amazing..!

By the way, don't take everything I say "wordly". Because I was not asking any of YOU for help or hypno-therapy, I just know this board is ABOUT just that. So I'm just here for research-reasons, basically.
