Hello Everyone :D. I am doing a report for school on Hypnotherapists. I just needed to know about how much a hypnotherapists make a year. I know a lot of hypnotherapists are self employed, but im just looking for some estimate. Also, What IS hypnotherapy? i mean like is it therapy that uses hypnosis? Last question, What are the most common things that are treated with hypnotherapy?

For basic hypnosis information you can read my FAQ.
Many hypnotists work part time and don't make much.
Salery is all over the map.
The most common things treated are smoking and obesity.
Other things like cancer or Parkinson's are much more rare.
According to the government Counselors, including hypnotherapasts:
"Median annual earnings of substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselors in 2002 were $30,180. The middle 50 percent earned between $24,350 and $37,520. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $19,540, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $45,570. "
Many of us make substantially more than that.
