Hello, Iam new to nlp.
I've been reading recently about it and I liked the idea of someone engineering his own mind.

the question is, where can I find any free reference on the internet about this matter. What I mean about a reference is a guide to NLP (something that directly gets to the application) and not just information ABOUT nlp.... Cause all what I got until now is information about it. Like everything goes:"NLP is changing your behaviors... it is talking to your unconcious ... bla bla." But I never got to the actual application of the thing.

I appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

Oh one more thing, I was thinking about it right now. Is NLP more of like the thing that needs personal exploration. Its the like the stuff that people cannot learn but have to try and try and by trying they get to understand it?

I mean, Iam lost here. ! WHAT IS NLP ?(I know its Neuro-Linguistic Progamming)

NLP is about copying the excellence of others
If you truly want to engineer yourself, then DHE is the answer.

DHE, Design Human Engineering, is a result of applying NLP to self personal change.

Some people would say that DHE is relabled NLP, so that Bandler could patent it and mantain control. Others would say it is a new paridigm. Both are somewhat correct.

Bandler took the principal elements of NLP and designed a method of using it for self help, primarily oriented towards generative change. Some of you might have noticed that many NLP techniques were easy to use on others but tricky to use on yourself.

It is well worth learning and using.

Skip and Merlin,

Are there particular DHE home study materials that you would recommend
to others? If there are, would using these materials effectively require
prior experience by the user with NLP?

Simple,

I bought the DHE CD set, which is a recording of a live training.

I think you would want/need an NLP background to make effective use of the CS's or tapes, or written material. I cannot say that you would need it for live training but there is no doubt that NLP experience would be most helpful, if not essential.
