i feel like i am already in a hypnotic state.

i have never had hypnosis but did have a trauma about 7 months ago which was due to taking medication for my panick disorder but it made me feel like i had taken a hallucinagenic!
i feel like i am just watching my subconcious actions all the time whilst my concious mind is panicing that it does not know what to do.
would hypnosis be dangerous for me as i already feel like i have a heightened sense of subconcious...as i read that hypnosis makes you in this state already. would hypnosis make matters worse or could it allow my concious to stop purely observing and panicing over what my subconcious is doing.
my mind is seperate from my body and they will not work together. i constantly think i have no idea what i am doing.

It is just my opinion but it sounds as though you are spending a lot of time thinking too much about what is going on in your mind. This leads to you feeling 'dissociated' - you can be so busy thinking that you are not doing and dont feel in the here and now. If you are dissociated some would say that this is similar to if not a light state of trance. In which case, hypnosis is likely to be useful to you because from what you suggest, you are already good at going into light trance:) which is a natural state of mind. Some people try giving themselves some positive suggestions when dissociated for how you would like to feel - maybe calm relaxed and in control. Some use a pleasant mantra if it helps - repeating a reassuring phrase to themselves. Some people find it is useful to do something - like paint or walk or some pleasurable actvity which occupies the mind. Whatever you do or think, you will survive and some people find it useful to remind themselves of this. Some people do find formal hypnotherapy with a therapist useful. If you have anxiety and/or panic any of the above may be suitable for you. If you are still taking medication, you might want to discuss that with your physician.

thank you.

i am not on any medication. i try suggesting positive things to myself but i feel to scared of how i am feeling to believe them. maybe if i shoot the fear in the foot then i will get over this! i just want my mind and body to be as one like they were before feeling like this. i am fed up of worrying and need to get on with life. but i just cannot when you feel like you are not really taking in everything.


i kind of feel like i have been thrown into a life i do not know and feel lost in my head.
