View Full Version : As you believe so shall you be...

Hi
I was just thinking about spiritual things and would welcome any thoughts on a belief I have. I believe that as you send out, so shall you receive (although I also believe that materially this system can be inefficient lol). Some say that what you believe is what you create for yourself - if you think you will fail so you focus on only possibilities which allow you to fail (hence possibly the inefficiency I have observed above - this may be my own faith or lack of it). I can see the rationale for this in terms of NLP, hypnosis and psychology generally. Does anybody think there is also a spiritual side to this? Can we literally 'materialise' a reality from believing it will be so (beyond the restrictions of what is materially normal) - e.g; create something physical which was not in material existence previously. Just a point of interest - I do not want to be midas!

Hi,
I think there is a very small reality to this.
The mind will tend to bring about what it expects
But I don't look for a printing press in the sky to rain Euros.

Merlin,
Exchange rates what they are, better Euros than dollars. ;)

lol ty. Maybe just pennys then? I'm not really sure why I'm asking. I'm not after producing money although some extra would not go amis. I guess, my outlook on it is that when we believe a reality will materialise for us, besides NLP and hypnosis, some larger spiritual force will bring our expectations into the material. I tend to think that, if that is the case, then it works quite slowly, almost imperceptibly because on the material plane can be quite a slow and heavy plane compared to thoughts I have heard about the spiritual 'vibration'. If this were true then it might be a great belief to work with with hypnosis?

Neurotic1,
I'm no expert on it, but attempts to materialize (more precisely change) physical objects are within the practice of alchemy. To my knowledge, such attempts were not successful. But, on a practical level, I've seen more than enough examples of resonance, vibration, if you will, that convince me this resonance facilitates "our expectations into the material." Jung spoke of it, meditators sometimes experience it and, yes, using hypnosis as an adjunct to our own religious beliefs seems to enhance it. Having said that, I haven't seen pennys transform into gold, but a furtherance of a connection to things enriching physically, emotionally and spiritually.

That's a great p.o.v simple guy. Now that you mention those things, I remembered, has anyone heard of the tiny particle (sort of smaller than a quark i think but im not an expert) that only exists when scientists believe it does.?!

Hi Neurotic one,
Start small. Find a few more coins on the ground.
Make it easy for the cosmic whatchamacallit
If you try to manifest a million £/$ it likely won't happen. Manifest circumstances where you'll earn double each year, and success can be yours.
Do be careful. Printing presses falling from heaven hurt when they fall on you ;-)

Thanks Merlin good advice and humor. I was really thinking in terms of manifesting more pleasurable changes in my life but hey I'll give the pennies a go too!
Neurotic1,
Manifesting is easy.
Accepting what you have manifested, and recognizing it when it comes is the tricky part.
Try this.
You are constantly creating. Everything that comes your way, you have personally created, or we have collectively created.
How does that viewpoint change your current understanding of manifesting?

Like the rest of us, you have been doing it all your life. The trick is to obtain the positives and avoid the negatives that we tend to produce on occassions. The book, "The Power of Positive Thinking" and others of that ilk go into it in greater depth....

Someone did Hypnosis on me and almost drove me to insanity. Why?
Insanity is a medical diagnosis and it is unethical for us to steal the patients of other healing professionals. If your medical practitioner gives you a referral to a hypnotist, I'm sure he or she can help you with your questions.

I agree with what Simple Guy says about alchemy and so forth but that is actually a little old.
When I was a kid one of my neighbours talked to me about astral projection. Of the books I read some years later the best ones were by Robert Monroe, a guy who actually created audio programs to replicate states that induce out of body experiences. I have used the tapes somewhat but did not pursue it further. Why, well because I got into NLP and the old Monroe tapes just started to bore me.
I do think that if you guys go to the Monroe Institute homepage you will be absolutely mesmerized by how cool the programs are. The retreats, I mean, they are out of whack. And, uhhh, yes they do do things that involve physical dimension materializations. But hey, I mean, check it our for yourselves, there are things that are even more incredible.
I don't know but these guys are the true mentalists, I mean, serious magicians. You guys would not believe what kind of skill it takes to do what those guys do, which is mainly astral projection. Hahahahah, if you guys thought going into a deep trance is hard, you would not even begin to imagine what it is to project your consciousness to literally float up off of your body and start travelling through reality, both time and space. Check it out guys
