Hi everyone. I don't come on too often, not as much as I would like. But im on tonight to open up and reveal at least what I think nlp/hypnosis is from my point of view of a beginner. Im not claiming this is the right way or not to looking at nlp or presenting or whatever but only what I think it is in an extremely short amount of time. (free flowingly). Ok When I think of nlp and the way its altered my thinking, when trying to make something make sense when linking two things together, a lot of times, there is no easy relation of the two in terms of nlp/hypnosis. So what I do or have done is by trying to link the two together, I find myself linking things by possible strategies. In realizing this, it has shown me how the unconscious mind works even more. For example, something I just realized is, when linking the "unconscious" to a more tangible thing the brain, the two seem to not have any relation but when in terms of "gut feeling" it makes more sense. When you're at a red light it turns green, you don't know why you decided to go, well there may have been reasons like work or something but then unconsciously there are other people going which has nothing to do with you or may. Then I realized that the unconsious definitely moves back to the point of nothing. When you make a decision, the unconsious has influenced it. And then I gathered that the conscious mind has no consciousness of the unconscious mind (duh) but its an important point. The unconscious drives us before the the conscious. Lets say you wanted to buy something but your gut instinct swayed you to not then later you are glad that you didn't because you have something more important to purchase. Its the unconscious that knows. Like the song, which some may not have heard, everything is everything. But when you go back to the root of the unconscious there are other unconscious processes that have affected the latest unconscious. Thats what I mean by going back to nothing. Perhaps this is the map.. Ok you're welcome to critique this. This is my perspective and I'm a bit exciting to feel that I may understand a little more now. Thanks for reading

Everyone has their own take on the relationship between the conscious and subconscious and even my use of the term 'subconscious' rather than the Freudian 'unconscious' reveals that I think the subconscious us under consciousness rather than being totally separated from it, as implied by the word unconscious. But it matters little since it can be argued that un means not and the subconscious is definitely not conscious in the sense that the conscious is.

The important thing to remember is that you are making your own journey and whatever you finally decide is right for you. If you want it to be right with others then you test it as you are doing now.

Personally, I think you are on the right track, but you might want to rethink how aware the conscious is of the subconscious. As you think about your subconscious right now with affection what springs to mind (or what do you feel)?

No need to answer, just use whatever occurs. And keep being excited.
