Hi,
Can you explain me how to create new poll on this forum. Thanks :)
I would suggest you read the FAQ sub section on creating polls.
Then post a thread and use the 'additional options' to set up the poll.

A poll on what? :)

A poll is used to create statistics. Statistics are created by polls directed in a specific direction, and are therefor usually untruths, certainly unbalanced.
Hence the statement, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics". Personally I refuse to be involved in polls, they are put out by those who are unable to make up their own mind, and depend on others for how to think, or by those who wish to manipulate the thinking of others..
Any argument, either for or against this post will be considered as a poll on the value of statitistics...:D

While out one day, campaigning against the value of statistics, I put myself in a postion which reached out to the determinacy of what was not yet to be, and in all probablility I might just as well have remained indeterminate. Such then is the paradox of my finest reason... (lead balloons(?)) (- probably, but, well, let's see what the nets pull in).
(Don't ask, I've no idea.) :)

Hold on Doc, wouldn't that leave him poll sitting:D
An honorable if not entirely practical profession.

Ah yes, a wonderful root veggie. Peeled, cut into cubes, and boiled, they are indeed a wonderful gift of nature, golden appearance, and when served with butter, salt, and pepper, a true delight.... Too bad some degrade them simply because they see them as cattle food, and therefore unfit for humans. Give me swedes over any other root vegitable any time....:D

And I who thought swedes were my neighbors... you know Sweden... swedes. They play good ice hockey. Wouldn't want to eat them though.
Back to the dictionary.

May be a cultural word -- in the USA they are called rutabagas, somewhat in the family of Skip's Turnip Family :)

Hi Terry,
I, also, hadn't heard of a root vegetable called a swede. I believe
chard (a leafy non-root vegetable as you almost surely know), can have
a prefix of "Swiss, not "Swede," though, attached to it (one of the two kinds they
sell in my vicinity, at least). But, if it is a turnip, the waxed kind are
commonly called "Rutabagas" (Poodle spoke of them). The white
ones are called white turnips around here. -- I agree with you that
they are "a wonderful root veggie." The white ones, when finely
sliced can also be fried with onions, garlic, some salt (in butter and/or
olive oil) and when done right (I do them right), they sure are good.
Other root vegetables, including parsnips and carrots can be "done up"
the same way. (This does relate to hypnosis as we're dealing with gustatory
and olfactory submodalities here. :) )

It would be a matter of capitalization - Swedes = people from Sweden. swede = root veggie. You are so correct. It would not be nice to eat your neighbors nor should you want to. Could very well be that you have swedes to eat in your country too. You can laugh and have fun and tell your friends you are eating swedes or does that only "work" in English. LOL!! Pood

Poodle, hehe :D.
In Sweden, as in Norway, swede is called 'Kalrot" (with a little circle above the 'a', and is pronounced... well you don't have that sound in English I believe). I did a little research and found that rutabaga, the other word for swede that you suggested, supposedly is derived from the Swedish word 'rotabagge' which is what they call 'kalrot' in southwestern parts of Sweden.
I like s/Swedes as well. Swedes with a little s are very rich in C vitamins. Swedes with a capital S have a very sexy language. Particularly the girls... My first real crush was with a girl from Sweden. Oh, she was beautiful... in every way.
The things we share here on this forum :).

Oh ****, maybe you do have that 'a with a little circle above'-sound :D. Just skip that last vocal part in 'oh' and '****' and you have an 'a with a little circle above'.
Time to go to bed :p.

Well, if you are going to make a big fuss about the S being s I give up, and I imagine that our original poster is no longer with the Swede, but up the Pole by now...:D :D :D
Oh yes, they are indeed called Rutabagoes in Canada, but in the UK they were swedes, and in any language they are food for the Gods.....
I only nibble on swedes who invite it, and might be inclined to nibble back!

If you like Swedes, you should go to NLP Trainer's Training. WOW! A whole bunch of babes. Some of those Fins were darn good looking ladies too.
I wonder if Ronny is really busy training hypnotherapists to work for him. He had toooo much business so came to Instructor's training so he could train his own and have them all through Norway. Interesting, huh? If Ronny could do it, so can Henrik!
Sweet dreams,

Hi, Poodle :)
Over the last couple of years my interest in "all this" has mostly led me in the direction of hypnosis, Energy Psychologies (developing my own little version/hybrid) and the so-called Spiritual Technologies (Doc knows a lot about those) based on the work of Zivorad Mihajlovic Slavinski.
From early childhood I have been involved in sports so I'm also interested in physical exercise (weight training in particular). It is something I know about. Foods are also an interest for me.
So those are my focal points.
As of now I am on my own little journey and it is a very interesting little journey. To me at least. To help others is something I hope will happen in 2 - 3 years from now. Before that I will have to do a lot of trainings. To have some of you on this board teach me is one of my hopes and goals.
As for business... well the ones I would like to help are mainly drug addicts, alcoholics, bulimics, anorexics and other eating disorders, severly depressed people and people suffering with anxiety. A lot of those are so beaten down that asking for money for my services might not be possible (or suitable...). So I guess the money will have to come from somewhere else...
NLP trainings.. well, you mentioned "a whole bunch of babes". Sign me up!
***Babes... where is that black covert super secret underground high potency hypnosis information when I really need it ;) ***
