Hello everyone, this forum is fantastic, such a wealth of good advice available to those who seek it.my question is if anyone has any knowledge on rapid self hypnosis induction to a level of suggestability that i can actually benefit from,.?

I have tried to locate a certified hypnotherapist but there are just none, I live in quite remote part of Scotland. And to travel to more populated areas is not an option as working 7 days a week and to many family commitments. What i am looking for is a the best depth possible for suggestions to have any actual effect.

I have been practising writing scripts(well looking at the structure of others and modifying them for my own persona)but still can only attain a poor level of suggestability that carries into my conscious world.Any advice would be greatly appeaciated, many thanks,..

Hello,

Self-somnambulism is easy once you've been there, but awful hard to find without a guide. It's like wandering around in the arctic. If a guide sows you and you leave a beacon, it's easy to return. But it's hard to initially find.

>but still can only attain a poor level of suggestability...

How hard are you trying?

thanks for the reply, during self hypnosis if i reached somnambulism would i know i was actually there or would it just feel like a very deep trance.?

Also i am keen to know what is best in your opinons for self hypnosis, using an internal dialog or a tape recording of yourself or just whatever works best for you.?

There's no special 'feeling' to somnambulism.

Internal dialog requires conscious effort and is self-defeating in the goal to achieve somnambulism.
I recommend recordings

Hello Guest,

In answer to your original query, there are qualified hypnotherapists from Caithness to Glasgow, Isle of Skye to Edinburgh on the NCH website at
www.hypnotherapists.org (http://www.hypnotherapists.org). Should be one near you.
