How do I find the best hypnosis for my child? I have looked in the yellow pages and I am confused by the initials that follow.. such as:
MC NCC CPCI

I just do not know where to begin to make certain that I get a qualified and professional? Thanks!

Mmmm, I don't know what those initials are either.
The "easy" way is to ask them to explain the initials, and then the relevance to what they do, and the outcome that you are looking for. Also what experience they have in the specific area
If they are worth their salt they will answer any questions you have. You should get full answers, not "fluff". Having said that, not all questions can be given specific answers - and they should tell you so.
Above all, you need to feel that you can connect with them, and can have confidence in them as both a therapist, AND as a person.
Hope that helps, and good luck in your search.

Should I try to learn this myself to help my son, or how do I find a qualified hypnotherapist??

Taffy answered well :)

That is honorable. Do you really want to wait?
This is not a follow-the-manual skill.
Like Medicine, it takes years to adequately gain the skills.

Simple enough, you talk to those available.........If you get the feeling that they are not trustworthy, it is probably correct for you, and for your son. For example, if you phoned me and didn't book a follow up apointment, I would have failed as a practitioner for YOU. That in no way bars me from being very good, just not the right one for you or your son......No hard feelings, and no loss to either of us, we just didn't click, and we must if I am to assist you...Terry
