Wooooooooo hoooooooooooo !

I just got back from the US this morning from my weekend in New Jersey. Man I F**king loved being over there, well that is an understatement, but well particularly New York. What a cool place to just hang out. When I got away, I always take Dr Bandler in the headphones and revitalise my dedication to personal engineering. Oh my God, well it is such a buzz. Got straight of my plane after a 12 hour journey which began at 3.30 am and went straight into NYC and up the Empire State Building, taking the audio tour of the city... most excellent. But you know, what I really love about New York is the vibe. Man it is so chilled out, but in your face, and my God, the women there... wow. I have never been around so many goddesses of practically every ethnicity before. I was walking round town there in ecstacy (drug free), when was last time you wanted to go round giving out high 5 all the time? What a buzz. Big city. So much to do, so much to see. Just hanging there for a day is a rush. Shops, buildings, the park, the attitude, like in the films... 'Hey, outa my way lady' 'f*ck you! buddy'. Love it. So just now, my DHE is working pretty damn well. I had a blast. Sometimes, you know, well when I say DHE is working well just now, I have to say, what I mean is that, I've been in control of having such a cool time for myself, I'm afraid I might lose it! And when I say lose it, I mean that I might somehow forget to manage things. See right now, I feel inspired to go out and grab the balls of life, swing them over my shoulder and drag them around in my wake. It would be an understatement to say I'm feeling rather motivated. So to retain that, ****, got to carry that commitment forward, you dig?

Love
Soren

It's only my opinion but I think everyone should have a chance to live a couple of years in Manhattan. What an education. I actually preferred it back in the 60's but I always have fun when I go back. I only did three boo-boos while there. One day I forgot my hair was in curlers and went to work. People were looking at me very strangely! Not done in Manhattan and second was wearing spike heels, one of which got caught going up the stairs from the subway. I arrived at work in tears with foot prints on my clothes. Not telling the third! Glad you had a grand time. :)

Pood, things were no doubt quite different back in the 1960s. Although there are certain aspects of Manhattan that I love, I wouldn't wish living there on anyone. Besides the high cost of living, there's also horrible traffic (makes L.A. look wonderful!), narrow streets, snow, sleet, and slush, and hot and humid summers where the city smells like urine. Except for central park there's a noticeable lack of living things.

Certainly the museums, schools, restaurants, and unique shops make Manhattan an amazing place to visit. But live there??? I would respectfully disagree.

Thanks Pood, sign me up for that scheme when you launch it, sounds good. Intrigued about the third boo boo now though, how does it go - remember what it was like just before you told us about it... something like that, I guess.

LA. and most all of CA is a magical place. Remember well my first trip to LA which was in the winter and things were green and lush. I flew to Fresno to take my niece to Disneyland -- yeah - right -- a good excuse for me to go to Disneyland. We had a great time. I love to return to cities. Not all the streets in Manhattan are narrow. Taxi's are somewhat dangerous IMO. Either want to "retire" to Fresno or Florida. Probably will be Florida.

It's always interesting to see how different people experience the same places. I've been to NY just one time and I even changed the flight back because I didn't like the city at all. After one week I just had enough from NY. Awful place for me. The worst was that you never the sky. Only these ugly big buildings. The most nice place I've seen in the US is Miami. Big city, great relaxed people and fantastic things you can do there. There I felt home immediately.

Miss P. reminded me of something. While beauty and ugliness are in the minds of the beholder, one thing I noticed is that many of the buildings in NY city were incredibly dirty. They looked white covered with soot. I thought someone with high-pressure washers could "clean up" in more ways than one.
