View Full Version : Why is there no database of NLP master practitioners?

How on earth do people find a NLP master practitioner? It's not in the yellow pages, just hypnotists are. And there's no database that I can find that offers a list of them. Hypnotists and even EFT practitioners have a database, but NLP doesn't. A bit strange.

How would you go about finding one?

We have a number here and Trainers too. I know one training center that keeps a record. In our group, we only keep track of the Trainers. It would be nice if you gave us your location and we may be able to find one just for YOU!

KJ1, embroiled as most of us are in the day to day business of hypnotherapy and/or NLP we forget that although the whole world has heard of hypnosis very few people have any idea what NLP is.

The term itself has overtones of some kind of 'mind control' as one client told me; the word 'programming' is very scary to some people; 'neuro' signifies some kind of brain operation and linguistic is either something scientific and therefore beyond ordinary people, or an Italian dish.

Give it another 100 years and you will have your database. ;)
In the meantime there are lots of organisations out there who purport to represent NLP. I cannot recommend any of them since I do not belong to them, only using NLP as a (valuable) adjunct to my hypnotherapy practice.

KJ, while I agree with Jack that you could wait 100 years to get a database, I have another proposal: Start your own.

Charge a small fee for those who want to include extra information. Pretty soon, with those fees and internet ads you could be making a tidy sum.

One thing I've noticed is that many people manifest problems when they are not working toward goals. The power of doing valuable work for helping people heal is quite amazing. You may find--if you choose to do this work--that you'll provide a service for others, make money, and not have time to let any issues you have that directed you toward seeking NLP bother you at all.

By happenstance, in NLP that could be called "Modeling Success." The more you do that modeling, the less likely you are to continue modeling those issues that you no longer consciously desire.
