Hope everyone is well. Here are some questions I have.
1. When Bandler or experts demonstrate things before they say them
does this mean their body language is ahead of their verbal language?
2. Is it possible to pace different channels, i.e., breathing rate,
voice tempo, etc., simultaneously? Would matching the
rate of multiple channels and subtly changing them have a better affect, e.g., slowing one down while speeding one up?
3. I've seen a video on youtube on stage hypnosis and it seems as though shock value had to do with his seemingly instant induction. Shock into trance?
4. When you use conversational hypnosis is there a way to check to see if they are in a trance?

Thank you for reading. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Anyone's feedback is appreciated!

What's going on? You want to learn NLP or hypnosis first or is that hypnosis stage hypnosis?

Unless you have had in person training with other students, the videos just don't work well.
1. Nothing to do with "body language". I'm not sure what that means. NLP trainers are VERY complex and do NOT just do one thing at a time - AGAIN, in the back pages.
2. Most of us know it - read the back pages of this Forum. Learn one before two, okay?
3. Yes, shock is one way to by-pass CF. Have you ever seen any kind of a headline "Woman lifts car to save toddler". Her mind was in "shock", the CF by-passed. We generally prefer NOT to shock our clients. There are many roads and ways to trance. Most of us do not practice relax-o-therapy.
4. Please explain what you mean by "conversational" hypnosis. I'm finding it has many meanings by many different people.

I would say all of your answers are in the back pages of this Forum. Be well, Pood

I think it will be easier learning NLP before hypnosis. I read somewhere how they (B&G I think) often demonstrate what they mean non-verbally before they say. By conversational hypnosis, I mean in casual conversation with presuppositions and if embedded commands are part of presuppositions.

Presups are fantastic and they are FREE so use them liberally. Pood

Learning hypnosis will be far easier than NLP. You can learn how to hypnotise in about 5 minutes, but if you read 'The Structure of Magic' 1 & 2, plus 'Frogs into Princes' I will guarantee you will be revisiting them on a regular basis before you understand. But perhaps comparing the two is not like for like.

IMHO NLP is far easier than hypnosis. Jack is correct - you can learn an induction in 5 minutes. Then WHAT? That's where all the steak and potatoes are.
