I need help getting homework accomplished on time. My reward systems are non-existent because I too often eat my cookies before my meal, so to speak. My study habits are also non-existent.
Could someone like NLP me into getting my act together? I'm sick of my habits. Time for a change.

Sure, do you have $1,000.00 on hand?

Hi Shreddd,
A pro working with you with NLP and/or hypnosis could help you with this.

Wow a 1000 bucks huh? You think I'm loaded or a sucker? I don't doubt some NLP therapist could help me out. I'd rather learn more NLP myself or listen to some audios. I'm a beginner with this stuff and really haven't gotten the gist of it yet. Although, I am starting to incorporate NLP more and more.

How much is it worth to you to get the skill?
1000$ seems nothing to me if I compare it to the benefits it would bring in my life.
The calculation in my head goes like this: 1.000$ for Terry and 1.000.000$+ for me in years to come :)

It's not worth a thousand bucks. Maybe 20 bucks I could afford. I didn't realize the NLP industry was so expensive. I don't see why this stuff has to be kept secret other than a money ploy. People are so selfish.
I definitely came to the wrong place if I thought a college kid could get some quick and powerful advice. Y'all here are stuck up professionals? There is no one here who likes the feeling of being generous to someone who can't pay you back?

Hi, Shreddd.
I know nothing about you. Your age. What you wish to accomplish in life. Nothing.
Anyway, here is something you might be able to use: Read the back pages. They are full of valuable information. There are some very talented and skillful people around here. One can learn a lot if one pays attention. It's free. You don't even need 20 bucks. Only time, patience and a desire to learn.

I am a student myself and find it very strange that you can not afford more than 20$ for something like that. It's not like you can not work part time or something..
To tell you the truth, I believe that you simply don't want it hard enough, as Terry likes to put it.
PS: here in Slovenia hypnotherapy sessions cost from 50-100$ and I think that it's fair to assume that average session cost doesn't differ much

Shredd, you seem to think that NLP is like a book of magic spells used in movies. Somebody mumbles something and weird ghoulies start popping up. You seem to believe that if somebody tells you the magic words, your inabilities will suddenly change.
Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
None of "this stuff" is a secret! There are hundreds of books available on NLP. You can get them at libraries and book stores. I can't think of any aspect of NLP that is a secret.
The thing is, merely because somebody reads hundreds of books doesn't and knows everything about NLP doesn't mean they can use it. There are hundreds of books on brain surgery, but even if you read them all, if I needed brain surgery I wouldn't give you a knife and say, "cut away!"
You see, NLP is a skill. It is acquired through training and practice, not through reading a book or getting a snippet on the internet. People who train in NLP spend tens of thousands of dollars to do so with the goal of helping improve themselves and, for many, to help others.
Further, calling NLP an "industry" indicates that you don't know the difference between an industry and a profession and instead choose to insult people involved in professions and in industries.
But I'll tell you what. Here is $20 worth of free advice on how to improve your studying:
1) Make sure you have plenty of rest so you don't get tired during study
2) Only have a light meal before studying. Large, heavy meals will make you tired.
3) Turn off the TV
4) Turn off the radio.
5) Turn off your internet browser.
6) Turn off your email.
7) Turn off your IM.
8) Turn off your XBox or PS2 or PS3.
9) Set up your books in an area that is quiet, well lighted and has good ventilation.
10) If there are other people in the area, tell them you don't want to be disturbed for the next few hours.
11) Open your books and start studying.

Actually, I KNOW your are not loaded, but yes I do think you to be a sucker, and worse.
Your post says it all to any therapist of skill, and what I read is not good.... I wouldn't want to deal with you at any price.
Why our moderators leave your posts is beyond me. I would have kicked your backside off ...

College is unimortant to you. Who is paying the tuition and books? If it were you, you would bet your bottom you would be studying but since it's mom and dad and you have the remainder of your life to mess around in college who cares! How you got there is amazing as you don't know how to study. I never knew it was a "skill". Everything we do or don't do has a strategy. I am suggesting you have a very dysfunctional strategy.

People I taught are charging $250.00 per session and have full bookings.
I enjoy research so I am often willing to do pro bono work in order to test a theory, or a new system. On the other hand, if I don;t like someone because I suspect they are unwilling to help themselves, I double my fee, and don;t much care if they accept or not, since I don;t work for money but for fun and fun comes from success..Success is guaranteed when the client participates...
I alway say, " if I have to drag an unwilling ass, the ass attached to it pays, and pays in spades" :D

Usually prices go with knowledge. The more knowledge the higher the price. I'm as expensive as Terry in certain areas and cheaper in others. I don't have a "standard" price per hour. It depends on what the client wants. That seemed to be a common question for people to ask that were not from the USA or Canada.

Looks like my attitudes have come full circle.
I appreciate all your criticism and advice. Some more than others. You've made it clear that I have insulted NLP and the people who use it. I do use a lot of NLP in day to day life. And I am paying for my college fund. I just hate homework so much.

Go back to my post! EVERYTHING we do or don't do has a strategy to it. You have a very dysfunctional strategy there. Go learn about NLP strategies and how to build one for yourself that does work and install it. Get off the forum and go find what you need to change that dysfunctional strategy. You have a strategy in your mind whether or not to get out of bed in the morning, you have a strategy in your mind whether or not to take a shower, you have a strategy in your mind whether or not to eat breakfast including what you want for breakfast, you have a strategy whether or not to wear clothes, you have a strategy or not of how you get to class. I would guess you might even be able to find out about NLP strategies on the net. Get outta here and go do it or you can pay someone $1,000 to $2,000 to do it for you! "that poodle guy"

Thanks, dude. I'm going to do that. Dysfunctional strategy is right.
