View Full Version : what style is this forum?
Hi there, new to this forum. Just wondering, does the hypnosis section here mainly follow traditional, scientific or Ericksonian? Or does it demonstrate an even understanding of all techniques?

Hypnotherapy, IMO, needs to focus on the needs of the client rather than simply following any particular system. Therefore, the more tools a hypnotist has in his or her toolbox, the more they are likely to be successful. People here tend to use, or respect those who use, any and all hypnosis methods.

Hi Josh,
There's a good mix of folks here.
Traditional?
I've studies the methods of Mesmer, Braid, Erickson, Elman, Esdaile, and many others, as have others here.
I've also studied NLP, tlt, and other alphabet techniques. :)
Or does it demonstrate an even understanding of all techniques?like what?

Hello Josh and Welcome,
The experienced people here tend to go with what works. When whatever we are doing ceases to work we do something else that does.;)
