Who Trained John

I heard from a friend who introduced me to NLP that David Shepard trained John Grinder NLP. I then read that Richard Bandler and John Grinder developed NLP. Im new to the field and I'm looking to learn MORE can any body reccomend a course I could attend and gain practical skill. Is David Shepard Richard Bandler and John Grinder still alive and do they hold courses.

NLP is a method of copying the skills of others.
Richard and John developed the method.

They then went about copying the skills of other people.
Most of the skills they developed by copying others are now broadly considered NLP as well.
