I've listened to Richard Bandler's use of tag on questions and "know" that the tenses he uses are DELIBERATE.

How do you know when to use a PAST tense tag on question(like "didn't you)vs a FUTURE tense tag question(like "won't you)?

some context:

I sell custom "made to order" steel parts and almost all my sales prospecting is on the phone to manufacturers in the Southwestern USA(Texas and Louisiana). I contact purchasing agents and shop foreman and in each conversation I have, I a)qualify them, b)elicit criteria,c)eliciting specifications to provide a quote when they need a quote as appropriate[all the while establishing rapport] via verbal pacing/matching etc.

many times, I've talked with them, qualified them, got their criteria, they have no demand now yet are willing obtain quotes from us. I want to finish the conversation with some conversational future pacing.

it goes something like this:
"after you've turned the clock FORWARD", whether its 4 hours, 4 days for 40 days(these time frames chosen somewhat randomly), and have noticed that you require a quote, you can AT LEAST remember to contact me.

the CAPITALIZED words are marked out in a different tone deliberately. the use of the word "after"(as opposed to "when")at the beginning is deliberate.now which "tag on" question would you end the statement with? Didn't you? won't you? other?

Curiously

AND, in maybe a week or two or even more, when you find that you need a quote from me, you can at least REMEMBER TO CONTACT ME, can you not/will you not?

Just one suggestion, no doubt others will have more, and/or better ones
