As I started practising NLP for the first time in my life 4-5 months ago, I was really impressed by the success it had driven me towards.
But since by nature I am a very "negative/philosophic" person (I'd really wish to get rid of that through NLP, but sometimes it may be useful) I started doubting about the theory about representational systems.
Please correct me in case I misunderstood it:
Each human is supposed to have a dominant rep system which can be kinesthetic, auditive or visive, and this depends on how the persons brain is used to receive information from the birth of the person itself!
Isn't it possible that someone is adapted to all three?
It is quite difficult for me (except when I thouroughly analyze the body language - and to be honest I´ve got no material regarding that and consequently not very proficient at it) to understand which is the rep systems (especially of people I know since longer time):
Sometimes they seem to have one, other times another!
And what if one says/writes...
"You know, your theory SOUNDS very stupid, but I don't SEE any point in hiding it from the others. I have the slight FEELING that there's also a bit of truth in it..."
What I mean is: doesn't this all derive from linguistic structures?
Does a rep system in a person change from time to time?
Do some people have a balance between all three?
A particular thing I noted, though, is that most of the people I meet for the first time whom I try to use NLP on are more in rapport with me than those I knew before... and when I guessingly pace the rep system they use in that moment, most of the time it works!
Nevertheless, I prefer being more certain about inferring rep systems!
I'd truly appreciate a clear answer to my doubts ;)
Bye! :)
