Since I'm having trouble locating a good NLP practitioner locally, I thought I'd see if anyone here had some insight into troubleshooting this myself.

When I've had a couple beers, I can do administrative tasks which irrationally frighten or intimidate me without them. For instance, sending reminders, updates, doing scheduling, troubleshooting scheduling, constructing task lists, etc.

I would like to enjoy the same motivation and efficiency without the beers - so for instance, I might do those things during the day.. =)

Any little tricks or strategies I can begin to explore here? Obviously I have some sort of block or negative triggers associated with these tasks which alcohol lubricates. But in the words of a wise NLP'er, "if I can feel that way, it means I can feel that way". It would be great to call off this layer of anxiety at my command, rather than wait for a chemical buffer.

Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks

The fact is, none of us carry around a bag full of tricks to distribute to those who ask for our help.......
I doubt that you would think to call up your doctor, and say. "Doc, I can't come in to see you today, but I have this pain. Can you give me a prescription over the phone please?" If you did I can well imagine the reply you would get.....
Some of us are ethical and caring practitioners of hypnosis, and of course there are also those who know little but pretend to know lots. It is foolish to ask what you have asked, and hope for a real solution to your problem, particullarly when a single visit to a good practitioner would get instant results......If your phone book doesn't contain the names of several practitioners of hypnosis, find someone within reasonable or even unreasonable distance, and get the help that works.....Would you travel several miles, if you had a problem with a limb for instance, and thought it possible that you might lose that limb without attention? I suggest you would, so why be a piker when it comes to your mind, the most powerful and important tool you have? Terry

Terry, you crack me up! Probably because I agree with you.:)

Mr Brain, perhaps you have to ask yourself what is the difference I feel when I have a couple of beers? Sounds easy doesn't it? Try it.

When you have the difference you have the solution but you may have to spend some money to apply what you have learnt.
