Has anyone heard of EFT? I did a search in the forum and found nothing. Is it effective in depression and anxiety, if not what would the best and fastest method be. Thanks

Many people here have not only heard of EFT but also use it as an adjunct to their practice. You won't find much about it here because these forums are focused on NLP and hypnotherapy, not EFT.

Your question points out that you don't yet have an understanding of the difference between hypnotherapy and NLP when compared to standard therapeutic practice. In those standard practices, the practitioners are methodology-focused. That is, if you have problem X you get treatment Y.

Hypnotherapy and NLP are client based. They treat each client as an individual and focus on the individual's background, experience, wants, and needs rather than having a cookie-cutter answer.

Thus, two people with the same behavior they want to change may get decidedly different treatments from the same NLP practitioner or hypnotherapist.

So the answer to the question, IMO, is that the best and fastest method is one designed by an expert to work for you.

I may have misunderstood Dons post, but EFT is also client based.

The tool is mostly unchanged in the form of "basic recipe", however the process is not static and I am 100% certain that Don knows better than me about the importance of the correct usage of tools.

The tool can produce great results in hands of skilled practitioner and (unfortunately) usually won't produce wanted results without proper training.

Poster, non of us know you, so we work blind in trying to satisfy your needs, ie what it is you really want to know, and what you need.
At this time, what you have done is no different to going to your doctor with a broken arm, and asking HOW he intends to treat it before you allow him to do the job he has trained for. Use your yellow pages, and look under "Hypnosis" since such is the base for all other such therapies. Only a local who can do a face to face interview will know for certain what is best for your needs.

Simon, you definitely did misunderstand what I was posting.

I did not mean to imply that EFT was not client based. I was writing that the poster's question --which technique was best and fastest for dealing with certain issues--ignores individuals' needs. EFT may be best and fastest for some clients, hypnotherapy for others, NLP for others, etc.
