There's a lot of good music that I USED to love to listen to, but now can't because I have too many negative emotions attached to them. I don't like having these songs sit in my library if I can't listen to them. However...I also don't like the idea that these emotions are telling me that I can't do something. I try listening to the songs again and it's incredible how well they anchor past feelings (brink of tears). It's pretty crazy how this stuff works, huh? If I keep listening to these songs I feel I could eventually attach new meanings to them, and make them as enjoyable as they used to be for me. I guess this would be sort of a "stacking anchors" thing, correct? For example...if I keep adding new emotions to these songs then I can create a new, and much more pleasant feeling towards them.
I was also thinking of maybe using a swish pattern somehow. Maybe by assigning these old feelings a symbol, and then shrinking that symbol, and adding a new one to associate with the music.
Any ideas?
