Hello again, :)
I would just like to thank those who offered me help and advice, and I'd like to share results I've experienced thus far, with one or two questions.
Initially, I tried for the past couple of weeks to trigger lucid dreams, with great success, and from that point I was able to view my body and surroundings, etc. But, having done this through a lucid dream, I was still skeptical.
Not 45 minutes ago I consciously exited my body, but the method was quite interesting. What I did was somewhat of a progressive relaxation exercise, followed by deep breathing and a count from 1 to 100 in between each breath. After I was finished, I tried something called "The Rope Method" which is "imagining" feeling for a rope, and climbing up it. I would suppose this is trying to impose on your subconscious that you want your soul to exit your body. Well, I stopped consciously trying to do that, and it became a natural process, much like a mantra in the background, so to speak, and I went into a deep state of trance, and at one point I found myself in a hypnagogic state.
What was interesting is I noticed at the center of my chest some...kind of activity, almost like a vibrating sensation that seemed to be opening or increasing in mass. I found I could control this because I was fairly startled, and it ceased a bit...then I imagined it increasing in activity again, and it did so. What happened next has me so excited I don't believe I'll be going to sleep for some time :D, Me, this is what I'm going to call my astral body because I'm still not used to the idea of being seperate from my body, I started to make an ascent, and I was vibrating. It seemed as if my entire being was made up of this vibrating mass, it was not in the least bit PAINFUL but it felt as if it was pure electricity, sorry for being vauge but I can barely comprehend it myself.
I started to lift out, and as soon as I did (the process took a few minutes, I kind of had to ease out, it was somewhat difficult), I found I could sense things just as if I had a body, with a heightened emotional sense. I decided to look at my clock, and my body, and other little details in the room I was in before I eased back into my body, to validate what I had done.
Upon returning, I understood where my body was, but couldn't move it without putting sections of (me) that coincided with my body, and as soon as I eased back into my body and got out of the bed, sure enough the clock was about a minute later than when I had checked it.
What I'm asking, for those who have experienced this first hand, is what exactly was the vibrating all about? It was a vibration so strong I could hear a pretty noticable buzzing. And also, why my chest? If it is a chakra opening, which seemed to happen without my willing it, why not the crown? Why not the solar plexus?
I must thank you all again for your advice and suggestions in previous posts, I simply am skeptical of a lot, and what you all had posted did actually help much.
