I've got my own opinion about Peter Powers.. What he does just seems a bit "fake" to me... For example, In one show i saw of his, He had a guy dressed in red womans swimwear, saving a blow-up doll from drowning.

I need to ask the question of HOW did he get the guy in that swimwear to begin with?

With hypnosis, You cant make anyone do anything against their morals, so was the guy a cross-dresser to begin with?

Peter Powers just makes me wonder, But this is only my opinion.

I don't believe it would be against morals or ethics to have a male dressed as female. Undressed would be a totally different matter. My reasoning for this is simply when I was young my older brother went in my bedroom and took a piece of undergarments and was showing off to his friends. It was just totally stupidity as in teens liking to show off. Morals and ethics didn't enter into the equation -- it was just stupidity and most of us have done something really stupid in our life and I would have liked to have killed him at that moment in time. Also a very good stage hypnotist knows how to word suggestions.

Skip has posted here that morals and ethics can be temporary and changed easily as in a teenager saying: How about the backseat?

ahah that was awesome, that was at cronulla beach in sydney just around the corner from me! on the series the power of one.
ive been with him to be filming his 2nd series were he hypnotising people in the streets and gets them to do weird stuff. im not allowed to tell details, but what i got told to do, i was conmfortable doing it, therefore i didnt do it. so obviously that guy felt comfortable getting in the red bikini!
he has been doing it since he was a teenager, so idont belive he is a 'fake' just good at what he does

Hey i could be wrong, and most likely am.. I saw peters show "the power of one" on the comedy channel here in australia and yes it was amusing, but there were some things about it that just didnt seem right to me, But i see where you are coming from Poodle.. That's something i didnt really think about.
Peter Powers holds the current world record for inducing a deep hypnotic state in 30 something people, In under 1 minute.. All measured with biofeedback devices to confirm their state.

I remember seeing an interview with him on telly once, with him saying that during his "power of one" season, He had a day or two when he "couldn't hypnotize anyone"..

Peter is definatly good at what he does, I'm not denying that in any way, But what he does is entertain.
