Would you consider this an NLP technique?
Quote from Thom Hartmann:
"German filmmaker Fritz Kippler, one of Goebbels' most effective propagandists, once said that two steps were necessary to promote a Big Lie so the majority of the people in a nation would believe it. The first was to reduce an issue to a simple black-and-white choice that "even the most feebleminded could understand." The second was to repeat the oversimplification over and over. If these two steps were followed, people would always come to believe the Big Lie. "
The author of the article then goes on as to explain how the film maker used this to justify invading Poland.

No.
Because NLP is the specific codifed system of B&G.

Rather call it "Mass Manipulation" since it has no title as such, and is not only to be applied to Nazi Germany, but all over in daily life.....Advertising does it though not as well, and some posters her do it without even realising what it is they are doing......When you stress one area of information over another of equal value, you manipulate the reader, or attempt to....Terry
I suspect you have a basic misunderstanding of what NLP is.
Goebbels was an expert at propaganda. He might even be considered a master at it.
He used specific techniques of persuasion.
He didnt invent those techniques. They are the same techniques used by Aristotle, and Plato, etc.
That the specific use of 'what works' to accomplish certain tasks has been mistakenly thought of as NLP, means some people might think Goebbels was using NLP.
NOT SO, NLP is about the study of, and the duplication of, excellence. Especially as it relates to unconscious behavior. NLP might study Goebbels for the difference that makes the difference, and codify that, for use in other contexts.
But what Goebbels did isnt NLP, even thought NLP might codify and incorporate some techniques that Geobbels used, to produce the excellence he did.
And this is no way condones the results that Goebbels achieved. That he mastered and may have even created a skill set in persuasion, that is excellent, in no way condones the vile purposes to which he applied it.
I applaude the ability of a herione addict to find a fix, no mater what. You could drop a heroine addict in the middle of the Sahara Desert, and by night fall they would have found a fix. That they have excellence, in the relentless pursuit of something, in no way condones the use they put it to.
