Hello,

I am studying a book called Advanced Language Patterns Mastery. Although there are plenty of exercises, I was wondering if any of you could throw out some tips on how one could incorporate these language patterns into everyday conversation.

So far I've been trying to attack it in little chunks. For example, I make myself consciously aware of using some quantifiers for a week i.e. ALL, EACH, EVERY, SOME, etc. My goal is to get to the point that I'm using these advanced language patterns almost unconsiously - that it flows THAT good. I imagine that the fun starts when you can easily create emotional states, use verbal pacing/leading, etc.

Is anyone here at that level and what kind of habit building exercises did you use? I can make it look good on paper, but it doesn't seem to want to come out of my mouth like I write it.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Sakash

Hey,

I suggest you work on the rhythm in which you speak first after learning the basics of the patterns. The reason I say that is for a couple of reasons:

-If you speak in a soothing rhythm, anything you say will be enjoyable to hear and people will respond well no matter what. (if they like you, any suggestions will go in easier)
-For some reason (the mind naturally synchronizes with rhythms), when you're in a soothing rhythm, it relaxes your mind as well and all these patterns and metaphors and etc. just float up when you need them whereas in normal speech people often struggle to find things.

I suggest you watch/listen to some mark cunningham videos or even kenrick cleveland to see how they speak in rhythm.

Because when you do.. you'll find yourself.. naturally flowing from word to word.. | and when this happens.. you may begin to notice.. powerful patterns surface themselves.. | and then.. when you begin.. to slow down.. | people will often.. drift into trance.. just by your rhythm.. | and they'll respond.. even better.. than before..

Eh, hard to show with text but you go into a natural feeling rhythm of tonality and pace. And then you can shorten the amount of words in each pattern lump, and extend the period of time between the lumps to slow down the rhythm. Pretty soon you'll get used to just saying what comes to mind. And it DOES come to mind naturally when you practice.

If this doesn't help or it's not the answer you were looking for, please remember that NLP/Hypnosis/Language are skills. And like any other skill, practice practice practice. If you want it, it can be yours.
