I'd appreciate it if someone could advise me of NLP books that have a similar flavor/style to the following:

*Using your Brain for Change by Bandler
*NLP The New Technology of Achievement by Andreas&Faulkner
*Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins
*The NLP Toolbox ebook

I've read the books listed below; didn't get much out of them. I guess because the format, style, and content didn't appeal to me. I'd rather stand clear of books like the following:

*Frogs Into Princes by Bandler/Grinder
*Trance-Formations by Bandler/Grinder
*Timelines and the Basis of Personality by Tad James
*Monsters and Magical Sticks

I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!

It seems as if you may have a problem. The books you DON'T LIKE are the books that basically started NLP. At that time there were no names for the processes. They just were. Maybe you should try reading again and try to learn what is contained in those two classics. It could be that Monsters and Magical Sticks is a little beyond your comprehension at this time as you cannot understand and digest the beginning. You should also read Chapter 4 of The Structure of Magic. Other than containing information on NLP, Trance-formations teaches you elegant ways to induce trance or is it that you would prefer someone relaxing you to tears or a swinging pocket watch.

These books have stood the test of time and just about any good hypnotist and NLPer has read them.

One I am quite sure you can understand is Training Trances but again, it is taken from classroom work. It's a lovely blend of NLP and Ericksonian hypnosis. Pood

Samster,

Here is one that will probably help on a couple of levels...

"Thinking Clearly" by Jerry Stocking. I don't think it ever mentions the word NLP and yet is is one of the best NLP books I've applied.

I can't believe you read Trance-Formations and 'didn't get much out of it'!! Were you paying attention while reading it, or did you zone off and continue 10 pages later....? What was it you said you were interested in? NLP? Ouch! Don't pass that one up...

"Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?" My Grampa Vetter That one I can answer Doc. For the same reason we close our eyes when entering the trance state, it helps us concentrate on one sense by closing down the others:)...
One grampa to another:D

That's why I am asking Samster to give them another "read". I know something was missed somewhere in the two B&G books. You are ever so correct! BTW, going to Florida still?

BTW, going to Florida still?

It's an awkward time to get off work this year (although.. f*** that) and short of a bankloan (which I'm not keen on) I can't see a way of having the cash.

Maybe I could raise it yet. It's looking unlikely (I'm disappointed to say that).

You going Pood? Charisma Enhnacement? I'd love to go. (any and all). It's the accommodation on top of everything else that I'm imagining will scupper me (flight and fee I could perhaps almost scrape together this time), I'm waiting to hear back from Frank Marino.

Frank uses email so you should have heard back from him. Another money saving idea is you could always have a "roomie". I know. Not optimum but sometimes... The hotel is $113/night + $5.00/night resort fee (use of coffee or tea maker in your room plus newspaper & gym) plus $1.00/night gratuity for the person that cleans the room - duhh -- don't they pay this person wages???? then there's 11-1/2% TAX! I would imagine you could book your own airfare cheaper using red eye specials on Expedia or Orbitz. I do know of three that are coming from London to Charisma Enhancement. Start counting up your pences and checking the balance on that credit card as you have 14 days left nnnoooowwwww. I believe Frank also charges a fee for booking your plane reservation which you can easily do yourself. I just hope there is a McDonalds close by as I "ain't, ain't, ain't gonna pay for hotel food". Hoping to meet you. Pood :)
