and i'm 15 and am very interested in hypnosis. i want to help a few friends and family if i can become good. only problem is that there is no classes in my city, i already checked. is there an alternate way to learn, i'm very interested.
First, I applaud you in wanting to be able to help your friends and family. There are a lot of ways to do that. For example, learning how to do surgery and set broken bones might help them. For those things you would have to go to a school, and if there was no school that taught medicine in your area, you might have to go elsewhere.
Now consider this: the mind is far more complex that merely cutting into the body or putting bones in order. To do a good job takes a lot of study as well as life experience.
Learning hypnosis is really easy. I'd bet if you went to a public library or school library you'd find several books that would teach you how to hypnotize people. You could also go on eBay and find books and video courses on how to hypnotize people.
But the real trick with helping people while using hypnosis is not getting them into a trance. Rather, it is what you do AFTER you put a person into a trance that matters. Here is the difficulty. Two people may have what appears to be the same problem but they could have different causes for the problem and different treatments. How do you know which treatment to use? That can take lots of practice and experience.
One thing you could do is go to http://www.ampac.edu/bookstore.html and scroll down to see the books they suggest for their hypnotherapy degree. You could buy those books and study them. That would give you a good background in the theory and practice of hypnotherapy, although it wouldn't give you any experiential training. Another thing you might try to do is contact a hypnotherapist in your area and see if he or she will train you.
