i thought you NLPers might know how to use waking hypnosis.
is it as effective as people make it seem to be?
when i've used it (im not sure if it is waking hypnosis) all i can do is make someone not be able to unclasp there hands, (and that takes a least a minute(and alot of- you may feel relaxed stuff))
when i try more than that, it doesnt work.
Any help?

I think you expect a bit more from waking hypnosis than you're gonna get from it.
Hypnosis isn't mind control (even if the telly says otherwise).

how do you know how much i expect to get from it?
if it works at some level (which it does), i might be able to take it to a higher level.
then i will rule the world ............maybe.............maybe not.......probably not..
......no.

Sponge,
I notice that you seem quite fascinated with waking hypnosis. May I suggest (this is a hypnosis forum after all) that you consider that your fascination with waking hypnosis is itself a form of waking hypnosis. And may that be a the awakening of hypnosis for you.
All the deepest.....you know...ways of experiencing...waking trances, After all may the search be in you first.

Hi Sponge,
I trust you are just clowning-around, and joking, right :) when you said : If (waking hypnosis) works at some level (which it does), i might be able to take it to a higher level.
then i will rule the world............maybe.............maybe not.......probably not........no.
Actually, it's common for alot of teenagers like Solaris & yourself to think of using 'Hypnosis - skills' for "controlling OTHER people's minds" because you're feeling controlled yourself still by your parents, teachers, & other influences in society.
But consider continue developing your *Self-hypnosis* skills with which you were born, for your own Happiness, thus Health ... (after all, I'm a happy young person myself :)) and then, teaching others to develop their *Self-hypnosis* skills as well.
Imagine every-one *Ruling-themselves* in this fashion, what kind of wonderful world we would live in, then ! :D

And how will I enslave the world that way??
While I know you were just joking--at least I hope you were--I actually have an answer for you.
As Annie suggested, imagine everyone ruling themselves. I wish that were true, and I have spent over half my life sharing information on how people can do just that. But unfortunately, many people don't want to rule themselves. They want others to rule them.
If you use techniques of auto-hypnosis (AKA self-hypnosis) and NLP (as well as other techniques) to master yourself, you will find that others will give you power of them. You do not have to enslave the world, the world around you will beat down your door give you homage.
However, one of the aspects of personal growth, part of the training you would receive with training in hypnotherapy and NLP, is respect and honor for yourself and others. That is, by the time you absorb enough to rule the world (or at least the world around you), that becomes something you would have no desire to do.
Actually, this is something that happens quite commonly in other areas, too. For example, have you ever really, really, REALLY wanted something? A new bike? A guitar? A powerful game box or computer? What happens after you get it? Surprisingly, it doesn't take long before you tire of the new thing and start looking for something else.
Perhaps we all have an inner desire for something, but we manifest that as a desire for stuff. Since the stuff isn't what we really want, we tire of it.
