I was curious if anyone had perspectives to share about Paul Ekman's research and how it relates to your experience in hypnosis.
Some of the big indicators of a hypnotic trance are facial changes, (lacrimation, symmetry, pupil dilation, flat affect) so it would seem Ekman's work would garner a great deal of interest from hypnotherapists and hypnotists.
Yet a search of this forum yields nada. Is there something I'm missing here?
I feel as though studying his book "Emotions Revealed" has helped enrich both my hypnotic and daily life. And not so much for knowing how you're really feeling, but for the curiosity it provokes in what these loose and often complex guides are attached to.
What's your take?
