Being that most people in this forum are interested in or involved with mental healing I'm sure some of you are familiar with Scientology's Auditing and L. Ron Hubbard's book Dianetics.

I'm wondering what the difference is since both processes sound similar?

Hi, Robb. There's an existing lengthy discussion of hypnosis and Scientology here: http://forum.hypnosis.com/showthread.php?t=1413& (http://forum.hypnosis.com/showthread.php?t=1413)

..........both processes sound similar.

You may tend to find quite a lot of Hypnosis in Religion generally, I would think.

Actually, auditing has nothing to do with hypnosis against what others may think. It is direct authoritian statements. When heard sufficiently, the statements can proceed into the SC mind which will then believe them to be true. While in the "auditing" process, many, many notes are taken of your 'REACTIONS'. What is the purpose of all of this and going to higher and higher levels? M O N E Y! So, if you really, really like science fiction, there are much cheaper ways. It's easy to spend $300,000 to $500,000 going up the levels in Scientology. A fool and his money are soon to part IMHO! Pood
