Hello:
I would like to learn more about hypnosis for the treatment of anxiety.
If anyone has information on this, I would like to know.
Does this work?
Thanks

Anxiety is a medical word. We don't use it. A person may have certain feelings that can be changed but we cannot label, diagnose or cure. Care to restate your question?
Hello Sunny Day,
In the UK anxiety is not so proscribed as in the US and is treatable using hypnotherapy without a medical doctor's referral.
In my own practice I treat on average around 200 clients a year for anxiety, GAD, Panic attacks and work related stress. Anxiety is a very common problem in this mad world we have created and is usually treatable in 2-6 sessions.
Here are two web addresses you might find useful. I mention them because they have free downloads and I personally know the authors of both and their reputations.
www.alphadynamics.com (http://www.alphadynamics.com) A free ebook on stress and anxiety written by John Hughes, well written and informative.
www.emofree.com (http://www.emofree.com) A free manual on EFT written by Gary Craig which many people find useful for anxiety self-treatment. I use EFT in my own practice alongside hypnotherapy and NLP.
I hope that helps.
Jack

Hi
I'm in the UK as well and agree with Jack. Here, anxiety is the equivalent of the more modern word "stress".
Subconscious conflict + conscious conflict = anxiety, and as hypnosis targets the subsconscious thought processed, anxiety can be successfully treated, either with suggestion therapy or hypnoanalysis.

One must realize, even in the UK, exactly how many types of anxiety there are. In the US we can NLP them which also works wonders. Don't like the behaviour, change it! Thankfully, as of now, there are no laws governing NLP.

Yes, it works.
But being as lazy as I am, i'd resort to timeline therapy (tm) myself.
