Just a question from someone completely clueless about hypnosis. I know hypnosis can help with weight loss but can a person be hypnotised to believe that healthy food tastes exactly like their favorite piece of unhealthy food. For example could you be hypnotised to taste chocolate when you are actually eating a carrot. I once saw a stage hypnotist show where the audience members were hypnotised and told that the next drink they would have would be their favorite tipple. They drank water but claimed it was like drinking champagne etc. I was sceptical at the time but would love to hear if this is possible..

Thanks

As far as your curiosity is concerned, the aswer is NO for weight control. Doing stage hypnposis for fun is one thing, doing therapy for body sculpting is another. If you want help with your weight, go see someone skilled in therapy, let them decide what is needed based on what you tell them about your lifestyle. If you had asked if diet could be controlled by hypnotic suggestion however, the answer would have been different, since that is one of several aproaches in therapy by a skilled practitioner. A good therapist has no need to lie to a client, and knows that a lie is a lie regardless of someone being in a state of trance, so such suggestions wouldn't work if the client was serious about losing weight. That is the difference between a skilled therapist, and one who plays with what they think of as hypnosis, when all they have learned is to produce trance.

Petie! Carrots are great. They taste better than chocolate. :) For ME (and I'm in the midst of "body sculpting" right now!), that's the key to weight loss through hypnosis. Your mind is re-programmed to work with your body to make healthy choices and develop healthy habits. I'm exercising every day and eating right because I WANT TO. I'm not deprived of anything. :)

Hi,

Yes, it can be done.
alternatively, why not make the existing taste more enjoyable?

But do keep in mind, Be careful what you suggest is 'good for you'.
It is not always so.
You could also learn to ask the mind what foods are best for you.
