Hello to everyone! :)

I'm very excited by changing metaprograms. I was trying to change metaprogram but it seems that it does not work very well.

The technique that I used were taken from website:
http://www.nlpls.com/articles/metaPrograms.php

Who can explain me and answer to those questions? Hope there will be people who know this technique.

In the 7th step a

I want to understand how to give myself permission to try to install new metaprogram? What should I say to myself? How should it sound? do I need to ask my subconscious to do that?

In the 7th step b

How do I make the internal agreement with myself? In what way i need to talk with my self so as to say myself to keep that metaprogram to extend that or to leave unchanged? Can You give examples of sentences the way i should to speak with myself? Once tried to leave a metaprogram but it did not help it gone after time :(

In the 7th step c

By saying what to myself I can install a metaprogramm? Saying to my subconscious mind or conscious? P.s. I'm really confused about it and I think if I say or do something wrong it won't work then :(

In the 7th step d

What does map it across mean? Can you explain me that in a different way? How to understand "to make internal arrangements to create mental symbol or a few words which will represent the experience" Can you give any example?
How to understand "walk the symbol or words over to your original position" How does it look like? I'm not really imagining that.
Is original position that place where 1st and 2nd steps were done?

In the 8th step a

" Go inside and check" What does it mean by saying that? Inside where?

I will be happy reading your answers!

Thank you :)

I'll make a few guesses here.

1. You dont have much experience with NLP.

2. You dont have a lot of rapport with your unconscious because you have no clue what is answered, when you ask questions of your unconscious.

3. You somehow think your unconscious, your own mind, doesnt know what you are trying to do and why.

Given those assumptions, you are not likely to be successful.

Read this carefully : "In theory, Meta Programs are easy to change. What takes some work is making sure the change is ecological -- that is, all parts of you want the change, it's contextually appropriate, and there are no higher level patterns which would either interfere with making the change or would operate to return any change to its previous state. Such patterns might include a person's hierarchy of values, limiting beliefs, self-other confusion, internal conflicts about life purpose or mission, spiritual conflicts, relational consequences, etc. "

The first sentence says "IN THEORY", not necessarily in practice.

The rest deals with making sure that the change is going to work in a smooth co-ordinated way with every part of yourself. Something you dont know how to test for, and even if you did, you wouldnt know what to do if there is a conflict, assuming you are self aware enough to detect a conflict. Which incidentally is almost sure to be the case.

Make no mistake, I am not picking on you. The above is true for most of the people on the planet. People who have learned NLP DO have those mentioned skills and many of them still cant successfuly use a lot of NLP on themsleves.

Just because someone has written a step by step recipe on how to do something doesnt mean everyone can follow that recipe. AND even of those who can, they dont always come up with the same dish.

any Meta Program on myself. I am a Licensed NLP Trainer. I would go to someone like the ones here and have it done correctly. They are easy to teach, yes, but I also prefer to use a real dentist or surgeon than something someone, including me, wrote on a website.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for you to go to a NLP Training (IN PERSON) and at the end of the Licensed Master Prac. you will find the Meta Programs and will learn how to do them correctly on others. You will have been given the skill set to 'devise' Meta Programs depending upon the client's situation, needs and wants.

I could write one out in 1 minute on 'slender eating'. Would it fit you? Probably not.

What book or books are you reading or whats going on to give you this interest in NLP because this is now the second NLP post and you have not been to training yet. One apparently worked for you; however, you are waaay over your head with Meta Programs. I really love this interest you have and hope to read that you have signed up for a real live course with lots of other students to practice on and with. When it comes Meta Program time, volunteer to be the class demo for the instructor....a win-win for you.

Be well~Pood
