This face is so perfect. Notice the eyes. Visual processing in action. This photo is from the 84th annual national spelling bee.

Connie,
Where's the pic of him looking down to the right to verify what his pics were saying?

I never learned that one had to verify what the Vr is. Is that from Carmine? I may have to change that textbook AGAIN!

Generally, you would want to connect the correct picture with a good feeling. It usually good to involve at least two sense modalities in spelling.

I'm pretty auditory, and when I was a kid I tried mightily to create sounds that identified how to spell. I'd intentionally warp words, so I could spell them. And I am a good speller! :) I didn't know NLP then, or I'd have been an even better speller!
So, words like "vegetable" became vuh-GET-able or Vegie-TABLE.
She cried "E! E! E! in the cemetery." Cee E em E tee E are why.
The point is that the cues ARE cues, and the chart is valid for most but not all people.
And since they dont know to tell you, you must do your own checking using questions with known answers to verify what this person in front of you uses as accessing cues.
I have had two clients whose cues changed with differing contexts... and one for whom visual was horizontal while auditory was up. Blew my mind.
Oh and you gotta be wery wery careful because some people are FAST! And you can miss the first cue or two if you arent on your toes.
cheers,

book and it wasn't there. I then went to Dilts' and he had it. Vr to K. I remember working this exercise well with Jodie and she could not spell katt until we went thru this and she never missed after it. I would hazzard a guess that we all do some very positive 'self-talk' after we do certain things like plant the garden, clean the house, finish a quilt, etc., etc., etc.
Hopefully, I never encounter Skip's previous clients!! LOL!

I have recently changed a couple of wallets, a master card, a car and a store for the shake of shelfhypnosis.
