Hey All!
Just came off a weekend of NLP a couple weeks ago and am still enjoying the effects thus far:D . I was diagnosed with PTSD as a result of childhood trauma and spent 4 years in different therapies. This technique really worked for me. I didn't want to spend time rehashing and reviewing my trauma...didn't want to talk about it...but certainly needed to release the emotions attached to the events. NLP was useful in releasing these feelings without having to be specific!!! I am still revisiting other areas and trying the techniques there! They really do work. Mind you....it only works if the individual is willing to heal at that time in their life. Perception is projections, right?!
Thanks, Dr. James, for a wonderfully enlightening weekend. One of the "side effects" of the weekend is that I find myself becoming extremely "for the moment" and I seem to be more assertive for what I need or want. I teach high school students...before the weekend, I was a little less direct with my discipline...now I am very direct and I am getting good results. My students don't like it as much...but hey!!!! That's life. Also...My husband promises to leave the toilet seat down from now on;) !
Thanks once again!
All the best,
Pembroke Gal
