I know that hynosis helps to restore memory, but can it be used to erase a memory as well?
It can be, but please go through our archives to see why we don't advise it.

YES - no reputable hypnotist will do it. How about just changing the feelings that went with that memory so it can't bother you now. A memory is nothing if it has no feelings attached to it. Pood

In theory, yes.
What hypnosis can do is block the ready recall of a memory, burying so deep that you just don't recall it.
It's still there, and the emotion associated with the memory can still effect you.
For that reason, hypnotists don't usually bury such memories, but rather disconnect the emotions from the memories so that they no longer effect you.
