i have just joined a clinical hypnosis course YAY, but there is one problem i have been exposed to a lot of great quality seminars and materials, that this teacher seems not up to scratch with his skills as a therapist.
is against quite a bit of the teachings that i have learnt myself and hold dearly to quick, fast and effective change work.

a part of me just wants my money back, then another just thinks to get the diploma and forge my own therapy processes once its all over and done with.

Why don't you just teach the freaking class as you are obviously a super expert in the field of hypnotherapy and give your teacher a little well deserved rest? Why did you even go to a class? Diplomas can be purchased on line. You already know all one ever needs to know from nameless 'quality' seminars and 'material'. You might as well leave class now. Just ask if there is a test you can take for your diploma so you won't be wasting your valuable time.

If you get the chance, look up a post by Merlin. We have a lovely reading library listed and she has done a fabulous job with the FAQs.

Generally speaking one can learn something new or a different twist on something if attention is paid to the instructor and participants. Some have just been miserable BUT there is usually one or even perhaps two things that can be learned that keep us from asking for refunds. It is preferable to go into a class or seminar believing you have zero knowledge on the subject. When it is all done, you can sort things out and keep some and pitch others. Be careful about pitching as something may be needed at a future date and the one with the most flexibility WINS ALL. I went to one that was a week long and learned one thing that was not taught. It came about from working with a fellow student. That ONE thing is extremely important and I don't know why it is not taught. It would make the difference between a successful session or someone just walking out.
