Wahoo ive been back studying nlp and have even learnt hypnotherapy some time line therapy and loads others since i came on here last a long time ago, any one remember me?

Any way ive spent so much money and time on mind therapies that ive decided to go all the way and get a diploma, problem is i dont know how well recognised diplomas are, i was planning on doing them with jonathon royle for those of you that know him. How credible is a diploma from him, what would you reccomend for a guy short of cash, i need a home study diploma with an award at the end.

I'm new too but I would reccommend you make the quality of the course the main criteria - and not the money. Remember, you get what you pay for.
Go seek the best, price it up and then determine how you will afford it.

f you want it ona budget arent' willing to wait til the cash is availabale, work longer, get a loan, credit cards, sell your car, remortgage your hosue or whatever, then you don't really want it that bad. If you did, you'd make attaining the best, so you can be the best, your main priority.

Nothing good comes cheap or easy. So I recommend, you wait until you have the requisite funds.

Yup, and nothing beats a live training. You can learn most things from a book, but will you be able to do it "live" yourself?
I wouldn't dream of learning how to extract my own teeth.

Hey Welshguy welcome back,

Im going to say something brash and then soften it.

None of the 'diplomas' or 'alphabits' from any of the hypnosis/NLP/TLT/ or even colleges and universities mean anything.

What is important is what you personally are able to do with the knowelege you have accumulated earning the 'I love me wall' dust collector.

Now some of the 'diplomas' from some places, serve as tickets to get into specific clubs, or jobs.

So you might want to decide what you want to do and determine if there is some special ticket required. If so that will obviouly narrow your choices of schools.

Otherwise, pick one whose cirriculum seems to be designed to produce the level of learning and competence that you personally want to have when done.

We have had a fellow just recently begin posting who has spent time and money and has 'graduated' prolly has his sheepskin too, and does not feel competent to see clients.

I feel sure that is not the results you want.

So you might try designing for yourself the type course you think it would require for you to feel exactly the way you want to feel, and then see whose school most closely fits that criteria.

I dare say people here would offer advice on what elements ought be in a good course.

cheers and again welcome back,

by the sounds of it i will go for the option i intended, it gives me access to good clubs and gives me the confidense to try things on more people. Some people may strongly disagree with jonathan royles views on hypnosis, but when you look closely at him he teaches exactly the same thing as everyone else but in a much easier way that gives you alot more confidense to try them in the real world. I was always put off trying hypnosis in the real world because of all the tonality i thought you had to use (i have difficulty controlling the tonality of my voice) using his methods although not as technically minded (i have studied the psychological versions aswell) gives me alot more confidense to try hypnosis.
Thankyou for your replies:)
