hi, i had hypnotherapy a few years ago and learned to enclose my fingers in an "O" to relax and visualize a safe place. i use this technique often when dealing with anxiety. the problem occurs here, i am a nurse and recently had a very young client who is from not only my hometown, but a few houses down from me who is suffering greatly in a coma with no family or friends. now when i attempt to visualize this place (a stream and trees behind both of our homes), he is also present in this place. he stands there, and i am not quite sure what to do. in my visualization i hug him and we sit together and look at the stream. this visualization has become more of me comforting him through his suffering rather than escaping into a peaceful environment. this is quite disturbing to me as this particular client's case was very difficult for me to deal with emotionally for reasons i cannot discuss. i was wondering what i can do to fix this or alleviate the distress it causes?

thanks so much!

Explain please how one suffers while in a coma state

Explain please new visualization of comforting him through his suffering

I'm totally not understanding your post. It may be because in hypnosis we put people in a coma state to end/stop any suffering.

You can always return to your original hypnotherapist to have this guy removed from your peaceful scene or have the peaceful scene totally changed.

Now you are using the word "client" instead of "patient". Nurses have patients, don't they?

Very, very confused!
