ok I get a mind block sometimes when looking into esoteric occult studies
and related topics. its like I cant do even though I spent years studying this stuff. thing is my dad gets it too. NLP technique maybe?
If a block why; god or NLP's
has anyone else ever experienced a mindblock?
Naphere, in another post you compared the mind to a computer. I think that in some instances it's a valid comparison.
Have you ever been working on a computer and then you type but nothing appears? Then, after a few seconds, all the typing quickly shows up?
What's taking place, of course, is shifting from RAM to HD.
Now, I draw a comparison to the mind. Sometimes, we can input information, but our mind needs to process it before we can consciously make sense of it. Example: a section in a technical book makes no sense. A week later, the same section of the book is obvious and clear. Nothing has changed, but your computer-mind has had a chance to process it so it can be useful to the enduser--you.
So what I do when I have such a block is to put the material away for a week or a month and then come back to it. I don't even think about it. With only one exception, I've always come back to the material with a great new understanding.
