Kate Moss is a "supermodel" who, for the recent generation, popularized the idea of being far too skinny. She looked so skinny that it appeared as if she used heroin instead of eating, giving rise to the term that being unhealthily skinny was "heroin chic." I certainly would not recommend her as a role model.

Recently, however, she gave an interview with Women's Wear Daily. When asked, "Do you have a motto?" she replied,

"...Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

Hmmm. It seems to me that this could be a very useful concept for NLP work.

Moss added, "You try and remember [the motto], but it never works."

Perhaps if it was anchored better?

I dislike the word "skinny". (I was skinny growing up and one gets teased with it and called "string bean" just as overweight people get teased). Perhaps thin would be better? I still really like your original idea -- there is NO BAD food (perhaps Twinkies). Clients need to have "realistic goals".

My best friend asked me about weight loss with hypnosis and I told her it would never work for her and that I refuse to work with her. I know her too well and I know she would never do what it takes to lose even one pound. Her MD wants her to walk on a treadmill at the hospital three days/week to help her COPD and possibly get off of oxygen. She always has a handy excuse for not going but can always find the time to go out and eat lunch with anyone that will go with her.
