Peronal sessions, mass CDs, and free stuff

I have tried CDs and personal hypnosis sessions.

I've tried bought CDs and free CDs.

Strangely enough, the free CDs worked WONDERFULLY!!! It worked worked for me instead of all the other work I did or other things I tried.

Try being more specific next time.

You are telling us that they worked for you. Not even what did they work out, what were you trying to do yourself for long time, which cds were, on what principles were they working, how long did you use them, free cds from where... etc

Just to point out how to make interesting post.

Why do you think that's strange?

Although some people here have been saying such things "don't" work, what others, including myself have said, is that every person is an individual. IF you happen to be a person for whom the free CD meets the needs, of course it will work "wonderfully."

One of the mistakes many people make, however, is that what works for the specific (i.e., you) will work for the general (i.e., everyone else). Unfortunately, that "logic" isn't valid.

I, and I'm sure many others here, are glad that you found something that worked for you. However, on a board like this, people such as myself need to focus on the general when responding to questions concerning "what works" as we can't possibly know what an individual needs. And the truth is, for the vast majority of people, CDs, tapes, videos, etc. will simply be a waste of time and/or money.

Some people would rather suffer with something they consider to be a problem for years, practicing techniques, buying CDs or tapes and waiting for them to arrive, rather than simply go to a hypnotherapist who could help quickly. For a few people, such as yourself, one of those things will eventually work. For most, they will not.

thanks don and everyone else for your opinions! actually I didn't wait for years, or wait for it to work eventually. I tried a hypnotherapist too. Then I tried the free CD unexpectedly. I agree with what you said about how it's different for everyone individually.

Sometimes a CD will work if you have paid megabucks for it and at other times a CD will work if you pay nothing. Often the CD will not work at all. The quality of the CD is not the issue.
