hi ive been seeing a hypnotherapist and i feel that i AM in hypnosis during the session...but somehow my issues stay unresolved. how long does it take? and what can i do to help get better results?

It takes 1-2 sessions for most typical things, 2-4 for type II diabetes, though it could take 12 or even more for cancer, ALS or some things.

You may need a different hypnotist with better skills in your area.

Entering the trance state known as hypnosis is NOT therapy and won't give results unless it is by a therapist skilled in suggestions, and in some cases, knowledgeable in the area of your particular problem, so saying you are entering hypnosis means nothing. The suggestions given, and what they are based on is what gives the result. For example, I can train you to hypnotise someone in the space of half an hour, but it takes years to become good at getting results for ALL clients, and sometimes months to get results for some. As Merlin says, you may need a different therapist.
