Hypnosis and Hyperthyroidism

Hi
I have just discovered that I have hyperthyroidism and am not impressed with the treatment that my doctor is offering. I think this illness is about my body trying to tell me something and I want to try to get to the root of the problem. I have seen in a list that hypnosis can be helpful for this condition. Could you give me any advice or further information on this?

Hypnosis can indeed be beneficial.
Will it totally correct your problem? Likely, but diagnosing over the Internet is not a hypnosis skill.
You'll want to see your MD and let him know you wish to undergo 'talk therapy' for this and ask if there are any "contr-indications" (medical speak for specific reasons not to undergo the therapy).
