Hello, everyone who read this topic. On this forum is alot more interesting themes. I am presenting my own theme that is based on the parapsychology. In certain scientific circles, parapsychology is considered more than unbelieveble deal. It is most likely that the image of mediums and swindelers, spiritual sessions and other stuff, would arise- that scientist often think about it as argumentative. Now, when the hypnosis is regularly used to the cure of smoking, heavy weight, phobias and other disorders, also even in dental professions- it is worth to remember of which unbelievable deal had hypnosis in its own begining form(messmerisium).
France Antoine Mesmer who got the diploma of medicine in Vain at 1764 year- had assumed that planets influence human beings in the means of powers that are similar to magnetism. Afterwards, when he tried to cure the patients in the means of magnets- he decided that the power is more important which is radiating of a nervous system and passed through the hands of a doctor or hypnotizer. He called this power ( animalistic magnetism). Who would like to find out more about this information- they can come to my website: URL deleated or can talk about this topic on my forum URL deleated. Anyone, who might have any questions about this topic they can ask them , basically it means they should post them on my forum- I will be glad to answer them.

Pokrov, if you wish to discuss Mesmer and animal magnetism here that is fine. Comming here to entice people to come to your own website and discuss things there, is more than simple poor manners, it is not allowed. Moderator

What kind of person are you? Why are you so selfish and not letting other people to promote themselves? what about you? When you are trying to promote yourself on lets say my forum- how would you feel when I do this thing to you - the same as you have done to me? What kind of therapist are you and where is your license ethics?

Pokrov,

I wouldnt try to promote myself on your site. I was raised better than that.

The rules here are simple. You agreed to them when you registered.

But even at that, it is rude and selfish, to use someone elses site, to try and promote yourself, and or your site.

If you arent smart enough to realize that, then why would anyone wish to have a discussion with you about anything?

Pokrov, the use of hypnosis and "suggestive therapeutics" goes back thousands of years. Mesmer was closer to what we would today call an "energy healer." Others noted that they could use suggestive therapeutics and what would become known (thanks to Braid) as "hypnosis" to achieve the same goals.

If you're looking for the sources of hypnotism today you'd be better off looking at the works of Braid, or even better, the school at Nancy and the works of Charcot.

Finally, the owners of this forum (and I am not an owner nor do I receive any payment or funds from them) pay good money to keep this forum free for people to use. All they ask is that people keep on topic, stay civil, and don't advertise.

There are some people who have their own URLs as their SIG file, and we briefly debated banning it (because some of the sites had pay areas), but decided to let it go.

The owners of this site have several financial interests, and if they wanted to, they could fill the pages with advertising for their own purposes. In fact, they don't. Many of the people who post here don't even know who owns this site.

It is set up for the free exchange of information and ideas on certain topics, not for advertising or self-promotion.

I applaud you on setting up a web set and wanting people to visit it. Respectfully, I do not like the idea of trying to hijack people to another site by going to other sites and trying to "harvest" people.

If you would like to advertise your site, pay for advertisements at sites that accept them.

If you want to be higher up on search engines, add new content to your site weekly or daily.

If you would like to discuss hypnosis, hypnotherapy, NLP, Huna, and related topics--without doing so simply to attract people to your web site--we invite you to post here.

Most of us don't advertise here or go to other boards and advertise.
I've never seen Skip advertise, Don, Terry, or other participants.
I list a website, but I created it just for this forum with no commercial links of any kind. Just some information like a FAQ.

We are happy with this.
You are free to participate here too if you'd like.

The biggest quantity of confusions, myths and prejudices that is connected with the simple term as “hypnosis”. During an ancient periods of times people treated hypnosis, if not from a religious fear and trembling, then from undoubtedly with curiosity. Hypnotists (whom are shamans, magicians, witches and extrasensory individuals) - if they did arouse fear, then they have aroused an interest and carefulness. Now, many people that includes many psychologists, psychotherapists and professional hypnotists think that when a hypnotist is telling a person “relax”- a person is “relaxing” and “falling asleep”, after which is a person convinced in anything. Similar views on hypnosis brought to where many unprofessional hypnotists ( even some professional ones, too) are trying to use blinking lamps, mirrors, objects that are moving around person’s eyes and etc…, is done for the person’s exhaustion and for the person to fall asleep. However, for the energetic hypnosis is not required to do this thing or other things.
Energetic hypnosis is basically worked on and used for the special departments that deal with criminal organizations, terrorists and also it is used by very experienced extrasensory individuals which have developed high extrasensory skills. Energetic hypnosis is different from a standardized hypnosis where a person is located under a hypnosis which does not realize that he/she is hypnotized.
It is possible to hypnotize a person with an energetic hypnosis at his job, in transportation, while he is moving and in any other situations. The whole process of hypnosis is occurring on energetic level. In order to have control over the energetic hypnosis, you need:
1) To develop in yourself real good extrasensory feelings.
2) To concentrate on other person’s energy.
3) To change your own energetic level to the other person’s energy.
4) To change an energy of another person.
Do you think is it useful right now in any kind of therapies or sessions? Are there any more styles to this?

I think whoever wrote this really doesn't understand hypnosis and wants to add new, confusing terminology into the mix.

'Relax' is not an integral part of hypnosis. 'Sleep' certainly is not.
Oh, 'extrasensory' whatever is not related to hypnosis either.

Shamans, magicians, witches, etc. May or may not use what we today call hypnotism.
Like many of us, they usually have many tools in their toolbox.
Some form of suggestion may be one tool.

How many times do I have to say hypnosis is sleep. It says so in my mother's 1960 dictionary. We are the ones that induce sleep. LOL!!

Love relax-o-therapy too. Somehow I think a lot of the world is still in the '60's or below.

Actually it may have been Merlin that coined that phrase. Read carefully every word she writes. Lots and lots of wisdom in there. Pood
