Hello Everyone,

Thank you to those of you who attended on Mon 23rd Jan.

We decided to do a re-run of the New Behaviour Generator process since most of those who attended had not practiced or experienced this before.
The process summary is included below.

I am also running a DreamBoard Party on Feb 12 and since some of you have asked me for details I am attaching the email with the information for those interested.

Practice topic was: New Behaviour Generator

Pay attention to the clients words and use them back out to the client in the process.

What is the problem?
Get panicky – want to be calm.
How do you feel now when talking about it? OK

Go within yourself – look down to your left – and think about what you want to change – have this dialogue with yourself. (Notice the clients behaviours – showing her state of nervousness).

Quick dialogue about what you want to change.

Very quickly look to your upper right and focus off into the distance and out there, see an image of yourself tomorrow, feeling calm, confident, happy, prepared. Look up, sit up, change physiology.
Notice, client nodding – gives you information.

Look down to the right, go to a place inside you and check how your feeling about that scenario.

Client feels calm.

Look again down to left, go through scenario and have a dialogue with yourself again. Any conflict there?

A little bit of conflict… so repeat the process.

Look back up, top right, and take a minute to build that picture in your head, with you there, calm, confident, nothing to lose…. (helps to look up there with the client – build that image as well).

When you are happy with image look down to the right and check how you are feeling.

Let me know when you are ready.

Is there anything you want to say – is there any conflict remaining?

Get to point where there is no conflict between the feeling and the internal dialogue.

Go from ID, to VC to K and keep rotating between the three.

Go back and check how the thoughts are doing. You may notice a huge shift in the client's internal dialogue.

All the best,

Natalie

Hi Nataly

You`ll find a quite different approach to NBG in TranceFormations. Perhaps you guys could try that one out, and do a contrast-analysis, to find if either one creates the better results?

Cheers

Hi Natalie

That is an interesting variation of a technique. The new behaviour generator is really great at helping people create new behaviours. I have used it a lot with athletes and helping people improve their performance in different areas.
For dealing with conflict it may not be the best technique, although I hope you got some good results.
A good book with core techniques is the NLP Workbook by Joseph O'Connor.
A quick overview of the technique is watch a movie of someone performing the behaviour in the way you want to.(b)See yourself doing it exactly the same way (as if superimposed over the other person(c)make any adjustments needed(d)associate into the movie and experience doing the behaviour

Thanks to you both for your replies and input.

We run the group with the knowledge we have from the different places we have trained and so far no one has TranceFormations training.

If you're London based and would like to come along one evening to share your knowledge, do let me know, you would be most welcome.

You can contact me at natalie@natalie-dee.com

All the best,

Natalie

Well, that would be nice, the fare from Copenhagen to London is a bit expensive for a training-session. Perhaps we´d meet at another SedonaMethod training though ;o)
