I was wondering, if anyone has any idea how I could go about using self-hypnosis to create a really friggin compelling state of mind (wanton motivation and curiosity). What I want to do, is to use self-hypnosis to create a really compelling, motivated state of mind. Then I'm going to make another track that will reinforce my goals, and when I am seeing myself completing these goals I am going to fire off the anchor a few times....

Also, whats a good way to use self-hypnosis/visualization's for goal attainment? i.e. whats the best way to go about doing it

What makes you think you need to be in a trance state to do this?? Ever heard of NLP? Learn it!! Lesson 1 - anchoring.

Like the Pood says, anchoring.
Anchors are like the stimulus-response that was explored by Pavlov.
Stimulate anchor-get response.
Anchors can be intensified by repeatedly creating them for the same stimulus, 'stacking'.
Another method it to create a 'zip-anchor'

What are zip anchors? are they sliding anchors. And could you explain how to do one/set up up.

For my compelling state, I've started to stack up the following states : Moving without hesitation, confidence, and excitement/curiosity. For moving without hesitation I was anchoring how I feel when I feel that I HAVE to search for something in google. Do you think it would also be feasible to anchor the feeling of a compulsion (Like how I like to count #'s)...

I've figured it would be easier to do...and the effects would come on stronger
By the way, thanks for being condescending

I was NOT being condescending. Anchoring in any NLP text book in the world in the first thing one learns. I have tried anchors with clients in trance and find them no more effective than they were originally meant to be. Some parts of NLP work in trance, others don't work that well and in some aspects of NLP a client just falls into trance. I don't know why. Ask Bandler!!
