I've recently been learning how to hypnotize friends of mine and I just had a couple of questions about some of the things that occurred during one of our sessions.
After our session was over, my friend told me that with every command word I gave him, he would see certain colors flicker in his vision. It sounds a lot like synaesthesia, and I was just wondering if this just varies from individual to individual or is it something that can happen to anyone or is it rarer than that? He also reported that whenever I'd look into his eyes, mine would be more "intense" the longer I stared and they would turn gray (my eyes are brown).
Also, I induced some amnesia in him and caused him to forget a few things (the number 6, his own name, and the entire trance experience) but the only thing he reported as truly, consciously forgetting was the trance experience as a whole. When I had him count from 1 to 10, he was able to say the number "6" but when I asked him again what the number was, he was unable to vocalize it, though he told me he knew what it was after the fact, he just couldn't say it. Same thing with his name, he would know his name but just be unable to vocalize it. Is this a normal occurrence or just something unique to him or something I'm doing wrong?
