Hello Matt,

on the Main screen on the bottom, under the button for " Forum Leaders ", it shows you as Forum Administrator.

Beneath that, it lists the 2 Moderators chose by yourself.

In your FAQ, under Reading & Posting, it says : " If you have registered, you will be able to edit and delete your posts. Note that the Administrator can disable this ability as he desires. "

You, Matt, as the Administrator of this Forum, not 1st. indicating any changes, would you please be so kind as to tell me Why *today* my " Edit " - option was changed ?

Thank you,

Annie

Yeh... how come can't edit posts anymore? - it can be a handy feature (I've used it a couple of times already)....

Hi Annie and Johnny#,

I happen to like the edit feature too. It is a very useful feature that allows individuals to edit their posts in case there were errors. However, I have had numerous complaints over the past week about content of posts and about users posting subjects, getting responses, and then deleting their posts. It can make the threads incomprehensible and confusing for other members.

Annie, you specifically have deleted 5 posts I have just found in threads that now do not make sense. In this specific forum under thread “New Forum vs Old Forum”, you asked me about monitoring users in the new forum. I thought it was a good post, and I responded to your concerns. I believe that everyone can benefit from reading that, yet you deleted your post. Why?

I admit, I did not know what to do. On one hand, I thought registered users should be able to edit and delete their own posts. However, on the other hand, if someone posts information then deletes it, other users and guests have a hard time looking through the forum and making sense of things. So like a good NLP practitioner, I took my two hands and did a parts integration! I then turned off the feature and am waiting to see if it helps the situation. After all, there is no failure only feedback. And, as you have pointed out, we are all human.

Really, our forum has been online since 1994, and this is the first year that our forum has had that feature. I am sure we will get along just fine without it.

Matt

By the way Annie, one more thing: I have undeleted your posts so that the threads make sense again. I hope this helps.

Thank you,
Matt

Hi Matt,

re : I happen to like the edit feature too. It is a very useful feature that allows individuals to edit their posts in case there were errors.

Yes, like a Chalk, or Dry-erase board : how " Limiting " it would have been, if at the end of each day we couldn't erase, and start over on the next day ... both teachers, as well as students, do this all the time including in your " it's All movable furniture " Trainings; or at least that's how the Trainer, trained by your Dad himself, did it in our NLP-trainings. ... and
as well
on this Board here ... how we can share, if but so *allowed* : how we can create for ourselves, as well as others, more benvolently Fun lives ...

Yes, (unlike in other Societal-contexts, where such is being received well), how truely tragic that in *this particular Group* : those few of us, with wonderful News to share, that when we do, we are " Actively belittled, critisized, laughed-at, mocked, silenced, etc " - to the point, that we then - delete that which we shared, leaving " the threads incomprehensible and confusing for other members."

Yes, you might want to talk with your 2 " Moderators " about their behavior in this regard, as these 2 individuals single-handedly, are responsible for this having happened in the 1st. place. For evidence,
here's 1, of 3, for Starters : skip Simple, Interesting... (http://forum.hypnosis.com/showthread.php?postid=549#post549) 05-03-2004, 02:12 PM ; with
the other 2, this week having been made by Don, re -
1. his personal, as well as " professional Dr. prescriptions using LSD "
2. his " gives us some insight into your comments and ideas. "

Both of these individuals are advancing " Agendas ", neither * Uplifting, nor Benevolently FUN *. And therefore, are in violation of the Intent for this Board as you have expressed such.

I agree that that doesn't make much sense, so - I will review your response to see where I made that mistake - ok ?

Well, for starters, I think it would be * really HELPFULL * were you to have a little chat with your 2 " Moderators ", asking them to * moderate themselves, 1st *. Because what happened here this week, amounts to outright " Pride, Pre-judice & Censorship " : and am I correct in assuming (outside of stopping DRNURSE's, plus Terry's, abysmal behaviors), those 3 are not
what you want your Board known for, correct Matt ?

re: After all, there is no failure only feedback. And, as you have pointed out, we are all human.

ok. so - I have given you relevant Feedback. And yes, each & all of us are " human ".
Question, once again as I said in the beginning of my post here, being : on this Board here ... how we can share, if but so *allowed* : how we can create for ourselves, as well as others, more benvolently Fun lives ... ?

re: Really, our forum has been online since 1994, and this is the first year that our forum has had that feature. I am sure we will get along just fine without it.

Well, as " Private owner, of this Board " - anything you do here, is entirely your choice, I understand.

PS : Additionally, today as well, I have noticed that now, the " Post Attachments " option is being denied as well. Now, that decision I *wholeheartedly Support*, as unfortunately - we do live in a world of terribly dys-functionally, and emotionally-deprived, groups of people. So, thank you for making that decision, Matt.

Also, while I am writing, I want to express *again* - my appreciation for your Time, Money & Efforts in providing this " space ". It is Good-naturedly, and Sincerely-appreciated :)
